Optimum Sound Quality
A lot of times, when consumers look at an affordable microphone, its sound quality is always in question. This is actually pretty normal, but with the Shure MV5, you can cast your doubts aside. It is designed with a Custom-Tuned 16mm microphone capsule (electret condenser type), which ensures optimal sound recording performance in any situation.
The MV5, just like most of its full-fledged condenser counterparts, is also capable of capturing frequencies that covers the whole human hearing range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. You can be sure that no sonic detail in your voice will be left out. The cardioid polar pattern will also ensure that you won’t be getting unwanted noises from the back of the microphone.
In my opinion, the major highlight of the Shure MV5 is its compatibility with a wide array of devices. If you are comfortable working with Apple devices, then you don’t have to worry at all, because the MV5 is “Apple MFi” certified. This means that you can connect the MV5 into any iOS devices without needing any additional connection adaptors.
Need to monitor your voice in real-time? You can do that by simply plugging in your headphones into the built-in 3.5mm headphones output. You can also switch between three different DSP modes (Vocals, Flat, Instrument), which will automatically apply custom-tailored Compression, Gain, EQ and Limiter settings, in order to produce the best sound.
High Quality Accessories
Every purchase of the Shure MV5 comes with useful accessories that will benefit your recording projects. The one you’ll definitely like the best is the sturdy desktop stand that is made of anodized aluminum. It has an integrated thread mount that is compatible with any 1/4″ standard camera tripod. This ensures the overall operational stability of the MV5.
To make things better, Shure has taken the extra step in order to save you the trouble of finding compatible cables for connectivity. Two cables will be included in every MV5 package: (1) Micro-B to USB cable and (1) Micro-B to Lightning cable. Do take note that, together with the included stand, the Shure MV5 measures only 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall.

I personally find it hard to find flaws with most Shure products.
When it comes to sound recording quality, I can confidently say that Shure will not disappoint. However, you should not compare the MV5 with other studio quality condenser microphones out there.
